Prince of Eastern Province sponsors the annual meeting of the Friends of Patients Association in the Asharqia Chamber and honors the supporters
Today, Sunday, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdelaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, the Honorary President of the Friends of Patients Association, honored the annual meeting of the association at the Asharqia Chamber. The meeting was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Bandar bin Abdelaziz, Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province. The achievements of the association for the past year were reviewed, focusing on providing medical equipment with direct impact.
Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdelaziz praised the efforts of the association in serving patients and contributing to providing their needs, integrating with sectors related to human health. He commended the wise leadership's significant interest in human health, safety, and providing all means that contribute, after God's will, to the recovery of hospitalized patients.
During the ceremony, a film about the activities, programs, and projects of the association for the past year 2023, entitled "Between Two Crescent Moons," was presented. Abdulhakim bin Hamad Al-Khaldi, the Chairman of the Association's Board of Directors, explained that the association served 9 different health sectors, benefiting more than 250,000 patients and medical cases within one year. Additionally, the association contributed by providing 606 medical supplies to operate 4 clinics within the prison administration in the Eastern Province.
Abdulhakim Al-Khaldi said, "Since its inception, the association has promoted the spirit of volunteer work and enhanced acts of charity, kindness, and community participation in the Eastern Province, especially in the field of serving patients and the health sector, through establishing medical clinics and providing urgent devices and supplies to hospitals and health centres." He expressed gratitude to the businessmen with white hands who contributed significantly to the social and moral return, exceeding expectations, and still continue to serve the nation, society, and deserving patients.
Al-Khaldi added, "The association is proud to be a role model for other specialized associations in various regions of the Kingdom with its organized work and projects, serving the dear nation and following the footsteps of the wise rulers who are pioneers in charity work and support." He expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdelaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province and the Honorary President of the association, for his sponsorship and great efforts in supporting charitable work in the region and everything concerning its people.
At the end of the meeting, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdelaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, honored the partners and supporters of the association for the year 2023.
